Lewisboro board authorizes supervisor to finalize payroll vendor switch pending review

The Lewisboro Town Board voted on May 27 to authorize the supervisor to finalize an agreement with Paychecks (vendor name as presented) to replace the town’s current ADP payroll arrangement, subject to final attorney review.
Town finance staff said the Paychecks proposal would provide an integrated time-and-attendance module, geo-fenced clocking for seasonal employees, and a more user-friendly interface that staff and department heads tested in demonstrations. The presenter told the board that the Paychecks implementation could begin with the second payroll in June and that the time-and-attendance pieces would be ready in about six to eight weeks. The vendor’s pricing was presented as holding to current spending levels and the three-year lock-in option was described as optional.
Board members moved and seconded a resolution authorizing the supervisor to sign the contract, subject to final review by the town attorney. The motion passed by voice vote. The board asked staff to circulate the contract for attorney review before execution.
