Ray Adams, rules and regulations chair, presented the staff recommendation and explained that the tool to grant exclusive use is a license agreement modeled on the pickleball arrangement. "We recommend allowing the cornhole Club use of the multiuse Court as specified in the licensing agreement provided to the board," Adams said.
Staff told the board resurfacing the court presented an opportunity to repurpose the site for a more heavily used, passive activity. Adams said the repurposing would not add pickleball lines: "There really is no impact" on pickleball play, he said, and noted plans to add basketball hoops in parking areas where appropriate.
A board member moved to accept the recommendation and a second was made; after no resident questions the motion passed unanimously. The board did not record individual roll-call votes in the transcript; the outcome recorded at the meeting was unanimous approval.
Next steps: the board directed staff to proceed under the license agreement as presented, publish the agreement and schedule for community use, and coordinate installation and resurfacing so work occurs outside peak summer usage.
