The board approved a main-building payment application (application number seven) and separately approved payment applications for plumbing and mechanical contractors. Project staff read the amounts into the record: the plumbing contractor's application was listed as $349,464.67 (John Danforth Construction) and a mechanical application from J&L Plumbing & Heating for $173,731.25. The board voted to approve the payments after brief discussion.
The board also approved a change directive (P-CD.02) authorizing sanitary vent piping work at the PTA building with an estimated cost of $3,849 to be charged to the general allowance; the measure passed by roll call and took immediate effect.
On other infrastructure items, CNS engineering presented its monthly road project report and staff discussed logistics and permitting for the Lions Road/box cover work and an Inquip bridge option for Wescott Road. Staff noted Corps/Army and DOT permit constraints (no in-water work during certain months) and the need for certified inspectors and staging plans. Highway staff also raised statewide policy conversations over salt-use limits and the potential for future requirements for enclosed salt sheds.
Before adjourning the public portion of the meeting, the board approved routine claims and accounts for December 2025 and January 2026 and moved to an executive session to discuss possible litigation.
