The Prior Lake City Council on April 28 approved routine actions including the meeting agenda and previous meeting minutes and adopted a consent agenda of contracts, reports and permits, city officials said.
City Manager Wedell presented the consent agenda as routine and noncontroversial; items listed by staff included the claims listing, a resolution accepting donations and grants to the city for the first quarter of 2026, the March 2026 treasurer’s report, the first-quarter 2026 investment report, preliminary 2025 year-end financials, resolutions awarding contracts for building maintenance at fire stations one and two and at the water treatment plant and two wellhouses, temporary liquor licenses for the Laker Education Foundation and the Prior Lake Rotary Club Lakefront Musicfest, an engineering work order for police station parking lot improvements (city project 2022-15), acceptance of the 2025 year-end code enforcement report, approval of a combined preliminary and final plat and easement vacation and development agreement for Ridgewood Court, the March building permit summary report and an agreement with a vendor to upgrade the city’s storage area network and servers. The council also considered an ordinance amending Prior Lake City Code sections related to motor vehicle sales with no inventory.
A single motion approved the consent agenda (motion by Council Member Brad, second by Council Member Helier), and the council approved the agenda and minutes earlier in the meeting by voice vote.
The meeting closed with council member reports and a motion to adjourn; the council adjourned at 7:17 p.m.
