The Montgomery City Planning Commission disposed of a series of routine plats, development plans and rezoning recommendations with little contention.
Highlights of items approved by unanimous vote included:
- Wiggins Incorporated Plat 1 (combine three parcels on Sixth Street; M1 Light Industrial) — plat approved.
- Falner University Plat 2 (consolidate campus parcels to support an academic resource center; institutional zoning) — plat adopted.
- Southern Tech Plat 1 and associated development plan (two-lot replat and new storage-to-dumpster facility at 2482 North Belt Drive; M3 General Industry) — both plat and development plan approved.
- Hajes/Hajes Warehouse replat (Furnace Street) — approved to support potential sale.
- Extra Space Storage phase improvements (additional storage buildings and climate-controlled units) — development plan approved; flood-control pond modification discussed.
- A range of other rezoning requests (items 8–12 and 14) were presented and either approved or forwarded favorably after staff comment; item-specific details are recorded in the commission packet.
Motions on these items were moved and seconded as recorded and carried by unanimous vote where noted. These approvals advance plats and development plans to finalization and, where required, subsequent permitting steps.
