Board members noted the preview meeting’s purpose is to give the public and budget entities an early financial overview and to guide citizen petitioners before the warrant opens.
Moderator Reed said past preview meetings drew online and in‑person interest and that recorded previews can help distribute information broadly to residents who cannot attend. The Select Board acknowledged the school calendar concern and asked staff and board liaisons to coordinate to minimize schedule conflicts.
Next steps: staff will publish the revised calendar, coordinate timing with the School Committee and finance committee, and confirm the preview date publicly.
