Ruth Floyd presented the April financial report. The district reported average annual FTE of about 4,635 (roughly 29 below budget), state apportionment receipts totaling 66.5% year to date and general-fund spending at about 63.4% for the fiscal year; the three-year fund-balance review showed an April balance of approximately $7.4 million. Floyd said there is a chance the general fund balance will dip below 5% in June but will likely rebound in July and August when tax collection timing increases revenues.
On motions, the board unanimously approved the meeting agenda (moved by Director Olsson, seconded by Director Russell). The May 19 minutes were approved after a motion by Director Russell and second by Director King; the transcript records a speaker saying they abstain because they were not present but does not specify the speaker by name. Director King moved and Director Russell seconded approval of consent agenda items 1–12; that motion passed as recorded in the transcript.
During public comment Al Shriber thanked the superintendent and staff for their work and wished the district a dry graduation weekend.
