At its June 19 meeting, the Manor Borough Council adopted Ordinance 600-24-02, several resolutions appointing residents to advisory bodies, and a series of administrative actions including conditional contractor payment and a plan to list a surplus vehicle for sale.
Ordinance and appointments: The council adopted Ordinance 600-24-02 concerning restrictive license agreements for four tax parcels (parcel IDs listed in the ordinance). The council also adopted Resolution 2024-07 appointing H. Daniel McCracken to the Recreation Board, Resolution 2024-08 appointing Pamela J. McCracken to the Recreation Board, and Resolution 2024-09 appointing Heather Gockel to the Civil Service Commission. Motions to adopt these measures were made and seconded during the New Business portion of the agenda and were recorded as carried.
Contract payment: The engineer reported a final payment request from D&M Contracting for the Cameron Drive project but recommended withholding payment until one punch-list item is completed. Council agreed to condition payment on the engineer's sign-off.
Surplus truck and library request: Council approved listing a 2008 GMC dump truck for sale on Municibid. The borough manager said a similar 2009 truck recently sold for about $22,000 and that maintaining the older truck would likely cost more due to parts scarcity; the borough is saving for replacement vehicles but does not expect to purchase a new truck for a few years. Council also approved a Manor Library request for free use of the Community Room on Oct. 6, 2024.
Routine approvals: The council approved the treasurer's and tax collector's reports and moved to pay bills as of June 19, 2024.
Several actions were recorded by roll call in the transcript (SEG 024–027). The transcript records motions as carried; the minutes do not show any failed motions.
