Manor council hears park improvement needs, tables Manor Park restroom decision

Solicitor Chelsea Dice answered that funds need to be allocated by Sept. 30, 2024 and spent by Dec. 31, 2026, and that residents would be allowed input on use of the funds.
On the Manor Park restroom, Engineer Ed Antonacci said two of the proposed sites (options 1 and 2) are in the flood plain; option 3 is not in the flood plain but would require a retaining wall, water service from Brush Street and either pumping sewage to Brush Street or tying into existing park lines. Antonacci recommended option 3 as the preferable location for access and flood‑plain avoidance. The Borough Manager said he will work with the engineer to obtain cost information; Mr. Vacha asked to see the bids from Mr. Charrie before decisions. Council voted to table the restroom item while staff collect costs and bid details.
The discussion did not include a firm cost estimate for construction or a schedule; council members instructed staff to return with figures and bid documentation before taking final action.
