The Gulfport Planning Commission approved an application to allow townhouse units on Deedoe Road, with the applicant describing the proposal as part of an evolved neighborhood plan.
Wayne Carr, presenting on behalf of the project, said the larger subdivision has been built out and that the townhouse plan would provide homes that fit into the neighborhood context. One commissioner recused from the discussion and vote for a business conflict; the record shows a recusal was entered and a quorum remained.
Commissioners reviewed the technical report and moved to approve the townhouse use subject to the conditions listed in staff materials. The motion passed by voice vote and the applicant was reminded to return with any required engineering or plan-review materials.
