Stafford awards Manahawkin Lake Park bulkhead and pedestrian bridge contracts; approves small change order for firehouse

At its April 28 meeting Stafford Township Council awarded two local construction contracts and approved a small change order tied to a renovation project.
The Manahawkin Lake Park bulkhead replacement contract was awarded to Black Hawk Contractors, Inc. (low bid $120,740) after eight bids were opened and the township engineer recommended the award. The Manahawkin Lake Park pedestrian bridge contract was awarded to Brayco Construction, Inc. for $167,425 after twelve electronic bids were received and reviewed; that award was also recommended by the township engineer.
Separately, council approved Change Order No. 1 to the West End KB, LLC contract for renovation of the Warren Grove Fire Company, adding $21,193 to the original contract for unforeseen paving work and site conditions. The change order increases the contract from $947,000 to $968,193 (a 2.24% increase), per the engineer's recommendation.
All awards and the change order were adopted on the consent agenda with roll call votes in the affirmative.
