Stafford Township on April 28 adopted its 2026 municipal budget after a brief public hearing that drew no members of the public to speak. The council voted unanimously to adopt Resolution No. 2026-154, authorizing the 2026 budget with $46,999,706.67 to be raised by municipal taxation and total budgeted revenues of $64,060,748.80.
Mayor Robert Henken opened and closed the public hearing without comment before the council moved forward with adoption. The governing body earlier adopted procedural resolutions allowing the budget to be self‑examined and read by title, Resolutions No. 2026-152 and 2026-153, which the council approved by roll call prior to passage of the adoption resolution.
The budget summary filed with the council shows $9,600,000 in anticipated surplus and $7,101,042.13 in miscellaneous anticipated revenues, along with $360,000 in receipts from delinquent taxes. The council adopted the budget by recorded roll call vote; all present members voted yes.
