The Village of Larchmont Board of Trustees on Monday opened and closed a public hearing on a proposed local law amending Chapter 180 governing leaf blowers and voted to adopt the amendment.
Mayor presided over the hearing and asked for public comments; none were offered. After motions to open and then to close the hearing, trustees moved and seconded adoption of the amendment, and the board approved the change by voice votes.
The mayor characterized the change as a “cleanup” amendment to the code. No formal amendments or recorded roll-call tallies were read into the record during the meeting. The board did not receive oral public opposition during the hearing.
The board’s action places the updated rules into the village code; the mayor and staff did not identify an effective date during the meeting.
