Robbins trustees approve financial services agreement and renew audit-preparation contract

Robinson, Gregory N. Jackson and Michael Collier Sr. as voting in the affirmative. Trustee Brewton was absent. The motion carried.
Trustee Ernest Maxey Jr. moved to renew Cynthia Fitch’s contract for audit-preparation services, and Trustee Tiffany S. Robinson seconded. The board adopted the renewal by the same roll-call tally: five ayes, one absent.
During the meeting the board discussed upcoming appropriations that must be passed during the first quarter of the fiscal year that began May 1. Administrator Shuntai Sykes and trustees said staff will work with Cynthia Fitch and the administration to complete the appropriations process, and the newly seated trustee will participate in that work.
