At its March 20 meeting the Assemble Lincoln Standing Committee acknowledged the resignation of committee member Lynn Rex and explained the process for filling the vacancy under the bylaws. Chair Eliot Bostar announced the resignation and nominated Anna Wishart to fill the seat; Bostar moved and Sean Flowerday seconded the appointment. The roll call on the appointment recorded seven yes votes and the motion carried.
The clerk read a resolution expressing gratitude for Lynn Rex’s meritorious service. The committee approved the resolution by an 8-0 vote, with Anna Wishart participating in the vote. Members then moved to appoint Lynn Rex as an Adjunct Advisor pursuant to the bylaws; that motion also passed 8-0.
The committee members expressed appreciation for Rex’s service during the meeting. The committee did not take votes related to other appointments or policy changes at this meeting.
