Penn Forest planning commission tables multiple land‑development plans, grants one extension

The Penn Forest Township Planning Commission on March 23 tabled multiple subdivision and land‑development proposals and approved one extension request, officials said.
Member Chris Rau moved and Member Stacy Venetos seconded to accept the minutes from the commission’s Feb. 23 meeting; the motion carried. The commission then considered several items under old and new business and took action to table each pending additional review or information.
A reverse subdivision and land‑development application from Mazzella (P‑24‑9) was tabled after a motion by Member Chris Rau and a second from Member Stacy Venetos. The commission granted an extension for Gullone’s proposed land development for parcel 51‑51‑A3.12 until Sept. 10, 2026, after Member Chris Rau moved to accept the request and Member Stacy Venetos seconded.
Member James Denier moved and Member Chris Rau seconded to accept an extension for Kocher’s reverse subdivision application (parcels 12A‑51‑AP300, 12A‑51‑AP321 and 12A‑51‑AP323) until June 1, 2026; the motion carried. Plans for Pocono Camp and Glamp (P‑25‑20, 51‑51‑A2) and Passalacqua’s reverse subdivision (P‑26‑2) were also tabled on motions by Member James Denier and seconds by Member Stacy Venetos.
During new business, a proposed subdivision from Jane Neeb (P‑26‑5) was tabled after Member James Denier moved to table and Member Chris Rau seconded. A proposed subdivision plan for Denner (P‑26‑9) was tabled on the recommendation of Rock Stahovic, township engineer and representative of BIA, who cited outstanding sewage planning issues. Member James Denier moved to table the Denner plan based on Stahovic’s recommendation; Member Stacy Venetos seconded and the motion carried.
The commission also tabled a lot‑joiner and minor subdivision application from Getz (P‑26‑10) after Stahovic recommended tabling. Stahovic told the commission the proposed driveway would pass through two lots, creating questions about legal access; he said the zoning officer needs to weigh in on whether the lot is an existing nonconforming lot, and noted that the septic serving a dwelling is located on a different lot. Member James Denier moved to table based on the engineer’s recommendation; Member Stacy Venetos seconded and the motion carried.
No roll‑call tallies were recorded in the minutes; motions were recorded as “carried.” The commission adjourned at 6:35 p.m. after a motion to adjourn by Member Stacy Venetos and a second from Member James Denier.
What happens next: most items were tabled pending applicants’ responses to the engineer’s comments, sewage planning clarification, or zoning officer review; applicants and the township will need to supply the requested materials or scheduling for further consideration at a future meeting.
