Gretna council awards 2026 pavement contract to T Construction LLC; denies SID No. 388 agreement over naming concern

At its May 19 meeting the Gretna City Council awarded the 2026 Concrete Pavement Repair contract (Bid 26-18) to T Construction LLC after reviewing bids. The motion to award the contract was made by Kara Alexander and seconded by Jeremy Westengaard; the vote was unanimous (4-0).
On a separate item, council consideration of the subdivision, sewer connection and maintenance agreements with S.I.D. No. 388 for the Bobette Subdivision (Lots 1–22 and Outlots A–E) began with a motion by Lauren Liebentritt to approve the agreements, but that motion was withdrawn. Councilmember Kara Alexander then moved, and Bill Proctor seconded, to deny the agreements citing a concern with the project name; the council voted 4-0 to deny.
The minutes record the contract award and the denial of the SID No. 388 agreements; no dollar amount for the pavement contract award was specified in the meeting text beyond the bid review action. The council adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
