Gretna council approves multiple annexations, rezones, plats and conditional-use permits

The Gretna City Council approved a slate of development actions on May 19, 2026, including a third-reading adoption of Ordinance 2200 annexing several tax lots into the city, approval of rezoning and annexation requests for commercial development, a final plat for the Linoma Industrial subdivision, and conditional-use permits for several commercial proposals.

The council approved an annexation and rezoning request for parcels associated with the White Lotus I LLC proposal (parcel #011282118 and #011222387) after staff comments from Solomon Fortune; no one represented the applicant at the hearing. The council also approved a Conditional Use Permit for Midwest Cultivators Group LLC to operate a commercial greenhouse at 10710 Sapp Brothers Drive; applicant representative Hannes Zetzsche presented the proposal and Lance Molina spoke in opposition, but the permit passed 4-0.
The council approved the final plat for MDC Linoma Industrial (Lots 1–10 and Outlots A–C) following an overview from attorney Martin Pelster. The council also approved a Conditional Use Permit for BRV Omaha LLC to operate RV sales and repair in the FX Flex Space district (applicant rep Justin Walls) and voted to approve preliminary plat and a travel-center conditional use permit for Buc-ee’s near the Highway 6/31 and Interstate 80 interchange after presentations by Scott Ray and John Chamberlin; Lance Molina spoke in opposition to Buc-ee’s but council approval was unanimous.
Where recorded, motions passed unanimously. Specific votes recorded in the minutes show Councilmembers Kara Alexander, Lauren Liebentritt, Bill Proctor and Jeremy Westengaard voting yea on the listed items. Council members introduced and advanced several additional ordinances on first reading (Ordinance 2201, 2204, 2205) and approved sign-regulation amendments for the Gretna Good Life District (Ordinance 2203) on third reading.
The approvals signal continued commercial and industrial development activity in Gretna and clear several planning steps for projects now eligible to move forward to permitting and construction.
