Sussex committee recommends multiple AB‑105 and temporary Class B alcohol permits for summer and fall events

Trustee Ben Jarvis moved and Trustee Michael Carlson seconded a recommendation to approve AB‑105 full‑service retail outlet applications for fermented malt beverage sales by Amorphic Beer, LLC at The Ridge at Village Park on Aug. 1, 2026 and Sept. 5, 2026; the motion carried 4‑0. The committee also considered an AB‑105 application for Kellermeister, LLC (noted in the record as more commonly known as Brewfinity) to sell fermented malt beverage and intoxicating liquor at several events and park locations — including Sussex Ridgeview Park for Sussex Pints in the Park on June 25, 2026; The Ridge at Village Park grand opening on July 1, 2026; Sussex Madeline Park for Sussex Pints in the Park on July 23, 2026; Sussex Civic Center for Sussex Block Party on Aug. 16, 2026; and Sussex Spring Green Park for Sussex Pints in the Park on Sept. 17, 2026. Trustee Ben Jarvis moved recommendation for Kellermeister; Trustee Robert Landgraf seconded; the motion carried 4‑0.
Separately, the committee moved and unanimously recommended approval of temporary Class B retail licenses for fermented malt beverage sales to a list of local organizations and events. The approvals recorded in the minutes include: Sussex Baseball Club for Village Park hardball concession stand (May 1–Sept. 30, 2026), agent Paula Ghelfi; S.B.A. for Village Park lighted diamond concession stand (May 1–Sept. 30, 2026), agent Samantha May; Sussex Area Service Club for Village Park within the Big Engine Show (Aug. 28–30, 2026) and Spooky Sussex (Oct. 23, 2026), agent Rick Vodicka; Sussex Lions Club for Village Park within Lion’s Daze (July 10–12, 2026), agent Rick Vodicka; and Hamilton High School, agent Kathryn Reeder.
All motions directing recommendations to the Village Board were recorded as carried 4‑0. These items will be forwarded to the Village Board for final action; the minutes do not record additional permitting conditions or objections.
