Board approves appointments, multiple settlement resolutions and sets capital-budget hearing

The Greenburgh Town Board moved through an extensive consent and resolutions section on June 12, approving appointments, settlements and professional-service authorizations and setting a capital-budget hearing.

Appointments: The board appointed Janet Polstein to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and Margaret Goldberg to the Police Community Advisory Commission (terms and expiration dates were read into the record). Votes on appointments were recorded as unanimous.

Settlements and claims: The board approved a resolution to settle litigation (file no. 10921) in the matter of Christine Provenzale v. Town of Greenburgh for a total amount not to exceed $215,000; the record specified the town's share and the insurance contribution. The board also approved multiple tax certiorari settlements with refund shares allocated across town, county, sewer district and school districts as read into the minutes.

Capital budget hearing: The board set a public hearing on the Town of Greenburgh's 2024 recommended capital budget and 2025–2026 capital plan for Wednesday, June 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.
