The Guilderland Town Board approved a series of routine administrative and operational items at its March 17, 2026 meeting. Each motion below passed by roll-call vote (Councilman Crawford, Councilwoman Beedle, Councilman Santos, Councilman McDonald, and Supervisor Peter Barber voting Aye unless otherwise noted).
Donation of park benches: The board accepted a donation of two park benches from the Guilderland Coalition for Responsible Growth (GCRG), funded largely by contributions at the Guilderland Farmer’s Market; Iris Brody read a statement from GCRG Chair Robyn Gray indicating the coalition requested benches for Fort Hunter Park and the Volunteer Firefighters Memorial Park (MOTION #70).
Stop signs on Willow Street: Following a Traffic Safety Committee recommendation citing heavy traffic toward the Albany Pine Bush Preserve and sightline issues, the board approved installing three-way stop signs at Willow Street intersections with Pineview Drive and Siver Road (MOTION #71).
Stormwater public hearing: The board scheduled a public hearing on the draft Stormwater Management Program Plan for April 21, 2026 at 7:15 p.m., as recommended by the Town Planner (MOTION #72).
Yard waste grinding/removal contract: The Transfer Station Superintendent recommended and the board awarded the yard waste grinding and removal contract to HGNS Inc. at $3.74 per cubic yard (MOTION #73).
Artist contracts for GPAC 2026 season: The board approved artist contracts for the Guilderland Performing Arts Center for July and August appearances, naming performers and contract amounts in the record (MOTION #74).
2025 budget amendment: Under NYS Town Law §112 the board authorized several 2025 budget changes covering donations (National Night Out, Animal Shelter, Senior Assistance), seized/unclaimed property proceeds, Section 8 housing program adjustments, and a special grant; the record lists line-item amounts (MOTION #75).
2026 budget amendment (JCAP award): The board authorized a 2026 amendment to accept a Justice Court Assistance Program (JCAP) award of $1,825.39 and to purchase courthouse security panic buttons and minor equipment (MOTION #76).
Waive permit for church sign: The board approved waiving the building permit for First United Methodist Church of Voorheesville’s temporary sign at Depot Road and Route 146 (MOTION #77).
Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at approximately 7:25 p.m. after Councilwoman Beedle moved to adjourn and Councilman Crawford seconded (MOTION #79).
Each of these items was approved with unanimous roll-call votes in favor as recorded in the meeting minutes.
