The council voted to adopt the resolution after a brief presentation that largely repeated material presented two weeks earlier. Council Member Brewster moved to adopt the budget as presented and Council Member Lions seconded. Council Member Brewster, Council Member Lions and Council Member Cruz voted yes; the chair recorded the final vote as yes. The final tally reported in the transcript was four in favor, one absent.
City staff told the council there are no immediate gaps in funding for current department needs but that one‑time projects may be proposed in the fall that could draw from reserves if approved. The presentation noted the general fund remains positive and that a full draft of the budget document is available on the city website for public review.
Resolution 2026‑16 becomes effective with the start of the fiscal year on July 1, 2026. The council did not schedule additional hearings on the budget; staff will implement the adopted appropriations and return to the council if adjustments are needed.
