Town engineering consultant Morse will survey Pleasant Street and Beachwood Street and perform conceptual designs for sidewalk options on Jerusalem Road and King Street, the committee heard. Brian said Morse will "look at the wetlands, look at, you know, right side, left side on Jerusalem Road and see, you know, do we want to do a retaining wall or...go lower, closer to the pond and maybe do a permeable kind of surface." He cautioned the group that Pleasant Street may be too narrow to accommodate a standard six‑foot sidewalk alongside two 11‑foot travel lanes without major layout changes.
Committee members were also told the school has an appropriation to fill a roughly 170‑foot missing link connecting Pawn Street to the walkway up to Alumni Stadium. Brian said that piece is being advanced through school capital funds and not the town paving account.
Members asked that Morse's survey layouts be circulated to the committee for review when available. Jay Pimpari asked staff to share the contact details for Morse's current project lead after members noted Jeff Hasset had left the firm.
