Colts Neck volunteers outline 250th anniversary calendar, ticketed kickoff Feb. 22

Chair Sue Fitzpatrick said the committee aimed to supplement existing town traditions rather than create duplicate programming. The kickoff dinner is planned for Feb. 22 (George Washington's birthday); ticket sales are online through the Colts Neck Business Association, which is sponsoring the event and providing a QR-code ticketing solution. Fitzpatrick said ticket price is $125 per person and that seating will be arranged in tables of 10, with colonial-era reenactors and period music planned.
Connie Deo described additional events: a barn tour on May 6 (10 a.m.—2 p.m.; tentative ticket price ~$50), additions to the Memorial Day parade (artillery and colonial troop demonstrations), a July 3 fireworks show sponsored by the Colts Neck Business Association, school-led art for a 2027 commemorative calendar and a revised tree-lighting with horse-drawn carriage rides.
Committee members and volunteers said they are selling commemorative caps and will distribute flyers, and they thanked the CNBA and supporting volunteers for underwriting logistics and ticketing. Questions from the committee focused on ticket availability, sponsorship and coordination with recreation and public-safety staff.
Volunteers asked the committee to promote events and to allow the CNBA to manage the online ticketing process; no formal township funding decisions were made at the meeting.
