At its Feb. 18 meeting the Colts Neck Township Board of Education approved a set of routine agenda motions, including clustered action items, curriculum, finance, policy and personnel matters.
The board moved and approved "action items 1–3" by roll call; Dr. Volpe announced the motion and conducted the roll call, which showed unanimous approval. The single curriculum item listed on the agenda was moved, seconded and approved by roll call. Finance items 1–3 and the policy item likewise passed on roll call.
Personnel motions 1–16 were approved in a single group. During the personnel roll call one board member, Rignetta, announced recusals for items 3–8 and 14–16 and voted "yes" on the remaining personnel items; the motion carried.
Notable personnel details included the board's acceptance "with regret" of the retirement of Maureen Caffin Price after 32 years as an elementary school teacher and a referenced amended medical leave for central office support staff (COSS) with discussion of sick‑bank procedures.
The meeting record shows roll‑call votes recorded by member name with the board voting to carry the motions as announced. No formal motions failed or were tabled at the Feb. 18 meeting.
