Rome Board approves routine finance, HR and program resolutions at June forum

Human-resources items approved included a memorandum of agreement with the Rome administrators association for special-education extended-school-year services and a memorandum of agreement with CEA Local 1000 AFSCME establishing summer-school pay rates. The board also approved a combined varsity gymnastics agreement with Hamilton Central School District for 2026–27 and authorized the superintendent or designee to finalize required documentation under New York State Public High School Athletic Association rules.
Because the South Rome Senior Center was unavailable for June 16, the board amended the Ward 3 polling location to the district office at 266–268 West Dominic Street and authorized the district clerk to publish required legal notices for the revote (publication once each week on June 1 and June 8, with edits as needed to comply with law). Polls for the revote were confirmed as 11 a.m.–8 p.m.
