The requested change would allow the SUP to remain active while the applicant finishes building plans for a drive‑through lane that reduces up to nine parking spaces.
A resident, Kim Worski, addressed the council in support and said neighbors and customers welcome Dairy Queen’s return. After limited discussion, the council approved the requested extension by roll call.
What’s next: the applicant must submit building plans in the extended timeframe and proceed with the town’s building‑permit review process; if plans are not submitted by the new deadline, the SUP will sunset per code.
