Joshua said the district expects about 24 graduates next week and described recent student activities including cooking classes, a spirit-week prom assembly at the Mitten building in Redlands, a successful prom, and a Friends of BBHS kickball fundraiser that raised about $450 and collected pet donations. He said 62 classes had been completed since the last board meeting and highlighted the district’s "Every 15" safety program, which included a crash-scene guest speaker and a memorial assembly.
Board members used their reports to note academic highlights and concerns. Several members pointed to recent scholarship recipients and college acceptances — including students headed to Brown, Columbia, UCLA and Berkeley — and welcomed incoming BBDA president Mackenzie Wolf. A board member also raised concerns about the middle school STEM night, saying the robotics (VEX) program had lapsed and would require teacher training and stability to revive.
