Milford Planning Board reorganizes, names representatives and authorizes staff signatories
Summary
At its May 19 meeting the Milford Planning Board appointed representatives to regional and town committees, authorized the Clerk and Town Planner to sign correspondence and postings, and delegated certain administrative duties to the Town Planner.
At the May 19 meeting the Milford Planning Board completed its annual reorganization and passed several administrative authorizations.
Appointments: By roll call vote, the Board appointed Joseph Calagione as the Metropolitan Area Planning Council/SWAP representative and as School Buildings Committee liaison; Marble Mainini III was appointed as the Fair Housing Committee representative; and Martha L. White was appointed as the Open Space Advisory Committee liaison. Each appointment passed by unanimous roll call of the members present (Calagione was recorded as absent when votes were taken).
Administrative authorizations: The Board voted to authorize the Clerk and/or the Town Planner to sign correspondence on behalf of the Chair and to sign Planning Board meeting postings with the Town Clerk. The Board also authorized the Town Planner to sign Planning Board payroll, sign and endorse ANR (81P) plans, call Planning Board meetings and set public hearings, and set the Planning Board agenda; the Planner is encouraged to review the agenda with the Chair or Vice Chair in advance of posting.
Other routine business: The Board approved the minutes of its May 5, 2026 meeting by roll call vote and closed the meeting with a motion to adjourn at 8:06 P.M.
Votes: All procedural motions on the reorganization and administrative authorizations passed by roll call vote with four "yes" votes and one member absent.
