The MAPS Citizens Advisory Board on June 4 accepted final completion of the Diversion Hub following a presentation by Rachel Bundy of Reese Associates that showed final photos, summarized change orders and confirmed the facility’s move‑in and opening dates.
Bundy said the Diversion Hub moved staff and operations into the completed building on April 30 and opened its doors to clients on May 4. She presented a final construction total of $16,679,749.54 and said change orders (one through six) amounted to a 6.55% increase over the original contract; about 3.7% of that increase represented end‑user requests and additions during completion.
The presentation included photos of the lobby, training rooms, client meeting spine, staff offices and public art. Bundy noted design features intended to make the entry welcoming and to provide secure, accessible client and partner spaces. The board accepted final acceptance and the staff announced a public ribbon cutting scheduled for June 24.
What happens next: staff will maintain the project’s maintenance bond per standard closeout procedures, continue to assist the operator with early operational issues, and host the planned ribbon cutting for the public.
