Caldwell Board of Health elects 2026 officers, defers by-laws review

The Caldwell Board of Health elected its 2026 leadership on Jan. 13, choosing Betty Sullivan as president, Lisa Gates as vice president, Anakaren Millan as secretary and Barbara Buechner as council liaison. Each nomination was made from the floor by Board member Patty Landon and accepted by the nominees; the elections were carried by acclaim.
The meeting opened at 6:15 p.m. with oaths of office administered to several members. The Board approved the Dec. 9, 2025 minutes on a motion by Patty Landon, seconded by Lisa Gates. One member, Kristen Gerard, was recorded as absent.
President Betty Sullivan asked members to review the Board’s by-laws for 2026. Patty Landon said the by-laws need not be reapproved annually unless changes are proposed; the Board tabled formal action on the by-laws until the next meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 6:55 p.m.; the Board scheduled its next regular meeting for Feb. 10, 2026.
