The Lower Pottsgrove Township Board of Commissioners unanimously adopted Resolution 1391-26 on Feb. 2 authorizing a sale agreement for the township building at 2199 Buchert Road to Family Services of Montgomery County for $1,010,000.
Solicitor Jamie Ottaviano told the board the agreement, drafted by the buyer’s attorney with Township input, lays out deadlines and procedures required under the First-Class Township Code. Commissioner Robert Mohollen moved to adopt the resolution; Commissioner James Hutchinson seconded the motion and the vote was 4-0 in favor.
The sale contract lists a closing date of March 2; Ottaviano said the seller may extend closing as late as March 31. The meeting record shows no further conditions or amendments recorded on the floor.
Separately during the meeting, Manager Edward C. Wagner updated the board on the 1963 East High Street municipal building project: furniture deliveries and lock installation were underway and he said staff are boxing to prepare for a targeted move-in date of March 2. Wagner said a grand opening is planned for warmer weather.
What happens next: the sale agreement execution was authorized by the board; closing and any final seller extensions will determine timing for transfer.
