The Gloversville City School District board opened its June meeting by recognizing a slate of retiring employees and thanking them for their service. The board heard names from across the district including Dennis Dy (associate principal, Boulevard), Melissa Cana (high school teacher), Marine Cooper (teacher), Joe Green (health aide), Dwayne Hicks (retired middle-school teacher), William Hill (occupational therapist), Vicky Engles (teacher), Letter Jones (cleaner), Juliano Tulle (social worker), Linda Snell (custodian), Mark Snder (cleaner), Sandra Town (bus attendant), Shannon Wodssworth (teacher), Paul Wilder (automotive mechanic) and others; the board offered congratulations.
During board discussion the minutes from May 11 were moved to approve by Ed and seconded by Kevin; the May 20 minutes were moved and seconded by Kelly, and both were approved by voice.
Later the board considered recommended items numbered 7.01 through 16.54 as part of the consent agenda. A motion to approve the recommended items was made and seconded and the items were approved by voice vote. The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn moved by John and seconded by Ed.
