They urged the council to balance economic opportunity with protections for residents; a number of commenters said they would prefer measures that limit alcohol’s role rather than an outright ban or unrestricted sales.
Council members did not take formal action on code changes or licenses at the meeting. The council agreed to continue collecting feedback and to study possible facility improvements and policy options before proposing any ordinance amendments.
