Chief Latimer and Captain Ball explained the units will expand EMS capabilities and free personnel for other interventions during respiratory calls. Metrocrest representatives thanked the council for accepting the donation.
Council formally moved, seconded and voted; the motion passed by unanimous vote. No additional funding was requested to purchase the units because the donation covers the purchase and staff said it reduces the department’s budget request for the coming year.
