The Town Council approved contracts for the summer concert series and confirmed logistics for Summerfest and related community events.
Staff summarized Summerfest arrangements: the festival begins June 11 with evening hours (5–11 p.m. most days, Sunday ending at 10 p.m. after fireworks), food trucks and a family-friendly beer garden at Central Park and Parkside Pavilion. The council reviewed and approved summer concert contracts for multiple dates: Sarah Archer and Little Giant on June 16 and Hicks Duo and The Unstoppables on June 30. Staff said each date will feature an opener and a headliner with staggered set lengths.
Staff also previewed other community activities: H2O Funday at the splash pad (1–3 p.m., giveaways and a foam party) and a popcorn-in-the-park rotation designed to engage neighborhood residents. The council discussed vendor logistics, portable sanitation placement and readiness for increased attendance.
What’s next: staff will execute the approved contracts, move a camera trailer as needed for events and monitor safety procedures (including lightning detection for outdoor activities).
