Millstone committee adopts $1 million bond ordinance, accepts conservation easement and approves consent agenda

The Millstone Township Committee on June 3, 2026 approved two ordinances and a slate of routine resolutions.
Ordinance 26-12, a bond ordinance providing a $1 million appropriation for acquisition of land and related improvements and authorizing $950,000 in bonds or notes, was read for a second time, opened for public comment (no speakers), and adopted after a motion, second and a unanimous roll-call vote by recorded members.
The committee also adopted Ordinance 26-13 to accept a conservation easement on a portion of block 39.01, lot 19.02 (76 Backbone Hill Road). As with the bond ordinance, the committee opened the matter to the public (no commenters), moved to adopt, and passed the ordinance on unanimous roll-call.
The consent agenda was approved in a single motion. Items listed included payment of vouchers (Resolution 26-137), a cooperative participation agreement with Mammoth County for community development (26-138), renewal of an alcohol beverage license for the Millstone Township Elks (26-139), an amendment referenced as 26-140, renewal of an alcohol beverage license for KPVP LLC (26-141), and appointment of a seasonal clean-communities employee (26-142). The consent motion was seconded and approved by roll call with all recorded members voting yes.
There was no recorded public opposition on either ordinance during the meeting. The committee tabled approval of the May 6 regular and executive-session minutes for later consideration and completed other routine business before adjourning at 8:41 p.m.
