Commissioners authorize phase-1 resubmission for Morrow County correctional facility and approve anti-displacement plan; development authority reports program,

Morrow County commissioners authorized the chairman to sign the submission checklist for the resubmission of phase 1 for the Morrow County Correctional Facility addition and renovations and approved a residential anti-displacement and relocation assistance plan tied to the Community Development Allocation Grant Program.

Both items were considered on the consent agenda and approved by roll call. The correctional facility checklists were resubmitted to DLZ during the meeting, according to a development authority representative. The anti-displacement plan was approved to meet grant program requirements intended to minimize involuntary displacement triggered by county-supported projects.

Jamie, the development authority representative, also told the board that the authority will be closing its third sales tech transition program next week in cooperation with Knox County, and reported a $105,000 reimbursement coming back to Morrow County for services provided to another jurisdiction. Jamie said some design-related charges and ownership questions remain under discussion with the contractor on a separate capital project.
