Bayside architectural panel unanimously approves two home remodels

The Village of Bayside Architectural Review Committee unanimously approved two residential remodeling proposals and approved the March 31 meeting minutes during a brief meeting April 14 in the Village Board Room.

Chairperson John Krampf called the panel to order at 5:00 p.m. and Trustee Liaison Ben Minkin moved to approve the March 31, 2026 meeting minutes; Krampf seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.

On the first project, listed for 9001 North King Road (applicant Mark Stern), designer Paul Giesen described a full interior remodel and a 630-square-foot second-story addition on the southeast side of the house. "The siding will be a dark green and the trimming will be black," Giesen said. Chairperson Krampf moved approval of the addition; Committee Member Marisa Roberts seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.

The second item, for 1011 East Donges Road (applicants Keely and Christoper Marshall), was presented by designer Anna Herbert-Morrison. She said the applicants revised their submission, replacing an originally proposed 32-inch by 73-inch window with a 33.50-inch by 79.50-inch fixed glass door so it "would more seamlessly flow with the existing sliding patio door." Herbert-Morrison added the new unit "will be an aluminum clad door panel with brickmold to best match the existing color and door panel proportion." Trustee Liaison Minkin moved to approve the fixed door; Krampf seconded and the motion carried unanimously.

The committee adjourned at 5:12 p.m. following a motion by Minkin, seconded by Committee Member Jeffrey Harrington.

No additional conditions, variances, or follow-up tasks were recorded in the meeting minutes for either approval.
