Director of Public Works Mitch Vis presented the draft Village Park Master Plan at the March 4 meeting, describing coordination with engineering consultants and multiple stakeholder groups. Vis told the trustees the plan is intended to balance competing interests and that staff will fine-tune the plan and estimate budgets for the various project components before bringing a finalized plan back for formal adoption.
Vis also presented the Village’s 2024 Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Utility Budgets and responded to trustees’ questions. He said a few cost estimates remain outstanding; once those are obtained staff will return with finalized budgets for consideration and adoption at a future meeting.
Trustees did not vote to adopt the Park Master Plan or the utility budgets at this meeting; instead they were asked to submit feedback to staff so the plans and estimates can be completed. The board’s next steps are for staff to produce budget estimates and a final Park Master Plan for return to a future agenda.
