Fair board moves forward on master plan, asks GIS updates and public survey

Staff also agreed to provide the master plan committee with the current master plan documents together with records of repairs and updates made since the last plan was created.
The master plan committee will next scope the plan’s content — including potential building upgrades, new facilities and other needed repairs — and create a public survey to solicit community input. The staff goal discussed at the meeting was to have planning work advanced enough to pursue funding and complete scoping by January or February of the next year.
Committee membership and quorum limits were discussed (members noted six people committed and that seven is allowed but eight would be a quorum), and members were invited to join the master plan group. The committee noted that non‑Fair Board members may also participate in the master plan effort.
Next steps: staff will request GIS maps, solicit a contractor for plan drafting, provide existing documents to the master plan committee, and develop a public survey for community feedback.
