The staff member said the BOCC process should complete within about three weeks and appointments could be in place by May.
Fee schedule: After discussing whether to update camping and program fees annually or biennially and how price changes affect website and sign updates, the board voted to keep the 2027 fee numbers unchanged and to add “kayaker” to the hiker/biker fee category. The motion to recommend no fee change and to add the kayaker designation passed by voice vote.
Next steps: Staff will submit the board’s vacancy recommendation to the BOCC for approval and will include the fee‑schedule stance and kayaker addition in the master fee schedule work that moves through county processes.
