Matt Walters presented the Parks and Recreation and Open Space chapter at the May 2 meeting and commissioners requested several edits and clarifications before the draft is finalized.
Commissioners asked that the township’s two tot lots and the trail within Markey Park be specifically mentioned in the narrative, and that Mood’s Bridge Park be referred to as “Mood’s Covered Bridge Park.” Township Manager Marianne Morano told Walters the township has a conservation easement with the Touhill property on Richlandtown Road; Walters and Morano will collaborate to verify whether the provided totals for acreage under conservation easement and township-owned protected open space are accurate. Walters also agreed to provide a list of parcels and farms within the Agricultural Security Area.
The commission noted only minor grammatical edits to the chapter otherwise. Staff will incorporate the requested name changes and verify acreage and parcel lists for inclusion in the draft.
