Columbia County opens fuel‑supply bids; staff to evaluate and recommend award

Staff read the bid totals as reported in the meeting record. One bid was read as $202,164,397.82 (Valleywide) and another as $250,159.45. Staff said they will evaluate the bids and bring a recommendation back to the board as soon as possible, and suggested the item could return to the agenda next week if timing allows.
Commissioners asked clarifying questions about PINs and card usage for fuel accounts and whether slip‑tank cards would be available for equipment fuel; staff said vehicles/equipment will have odometer or equipment identifiers entered at the point of fueling and that separate PINs can be assigned for frequent users to track usage.
