The Village of Waterford Board voted unanimously May 11 to go into executive session to consider personnel and property negotiations and later authorized President Adam Jaskie to act on matters discussed there.
Trustee Tamara Pollnow moved, and Trustee Troy McReynolds seconded, to convene into executive session at 6:36 p.m. under Wisconsin Statutes §19.85(1)(c) for personnel matters. The board then listed executive-session subjects that included an administrator executive search, the EMS director position and two village administrative employees, and separately noted a statutory exception under §19.85(1)(e) for deliberations on purchasing public property where negotiation or bargaining reasons require a closed session. By roll call, Trustees Nash, Goldammer, Pollnow, Jaskie, McReynolds, Dunham and Todryk voted "aye," and the motion passed unanimously.
The minutes record the board reconvened to open session at 9:12 p.m. Trustee Tamara Pollnow moved and Trustee Kelli Dunham seconded the motion to reconvene; the board recorded "All ayes." After returning to open session, the board approved a motion by Pollnow, seconded by Pat Goldammer, authorizing President Adam Jaskie to act on items discussed in closed session. The minutes provide no further detail about actions taken in executive session, consistent with the statutory confidentiality of such sessions.
No votes or personnel decisions from the closed session are recorded in the public minutes beyond the board's authorization for the president to proceed on closed-session matters. The board adjourned at 9:14 p.m.
