Sanitarian reports $22,585 in well-grant spending and 132 water tests through Q3

Caytee Jones, Clayton County’s County Sanitarian, reported Private Well Grant expenses of $22,585.19 through the third quarter and said 132 water tests had been completed through Q3. Jones told the board that in 2025 to date there have been 73 septic permits and 33 well permits issued.
Jones also said she completed Onsite Wastewater Training for new sanitarians and attended the Iowa Onsite Waste Water Annual Conference earlier in January.
The board received the report as an informational update; no formal action was taken on the well grant or permit counts during the meeting.
