At its March 30 meeting the Clinton County Board of Supervisors approved four utility permits, authorized a letter of support for a DeWitt Chamber grant application and approved claims totaling $475,767.07.
Supervisor Irwin moved and the board unanimously approved utility permits allowing Miles Telephone to bury duct and fiber optic cable on two permit routes (Permit Nos. 13-27-26 and 13-28-26), an Alliant Energy maintenance and pole-replacement permit (Permit No. 8-73-26) and a Windstream fiber-bury permit (Permit No. 16-229-26). Each permit specified county right-of-way routes within the named townships and sections.
The board also authorized the Chair to sign a letter of support for the DeWitt Chamber and Development Company’s site-certification grant application.
On the Claims Approval Report the board approved payments totaling $475,767.07 across multiple funds. Notable entries included a $150,200.24 invoice to Axon Enterprise Inc. for licenses and equipment, and a $34,595 payment for an education trailer charged to the County Conservation Land Acquisition fund. The auditor certified the list as complete and accurate before adjournment.
The board recorded roll-call approval for the permit motions, the letter of support and the claims list.
