The Board of Selectmen moved on a slate of reappointments for boards and commissions whose terms expired in January 2026. Chair Susan McFarland asked staff to confirm incumbents wished to continue; Town Manager David Porter said members had been contacted.
Selectman Anthony Bratz moved to reappoint Fire Commission members Kevin Gentile, David LeBlanc and Patrick Pabouet. John Rizza seconded; the motion passed with one abstention by Joe Asklar. The board also approved adding Donna Kane as an alternate to the Commission on Aging (term through January 2029) and carried several other reappointments noted in the minutes.
In selectmen updates, Joe Asklar reported that Schneider Electric is leaving Marlborough. Selectmen also discussed a building permit recently issued for a storage facility and held that apartments on South Main remain on hold pending sprinkler and water availability issues.
