Superintendent presents MESBC charge; board tables membership and OPM discussion to Feb. 3

Dr. Holly Hageman, Marlborough Public Schools superintendent, introduced two documents outlining the proposed purpose and responsibilities of the Marlborough Elementary School Building Committee (MESBC) and responded to questions from the Board of Selectmen.
Board members asked about committee membership, whether an Owner’s Project Manager (OPM) would be retained, and how the 2024 facility study factors into next steps. Dr. Hageman addressed those items and indicated she will follow up with requested details. Town Manager David Porter will issue another call for volunteer members to serve on the MESBC.
Chair Susan McFarland moved to table the MESBC discussion to the Feb. 3, 2026 meeting to allow time for additional review and for the town to solicit volunteers. The motion carried.
