Actions included termination of sick leave for Cody Woodall and Kevin Honeycutt; confirmations of permanent promotions (John D. Jones to Perm. Deputy Chief; Leroy Daniels to Perm. District Chief; Kenyeon Coleman to Perm. Captain; Caleb Hammons to Perm. Driver); retirements for Mark Thomas (Automotive Mechanic Supervisor) effective Aug. 9 and Cassius Hayes (District Chief) effective Aug. 31; rehire approvals for probationary firefighters John Panni and Adison Cooper; acceptance of the resignation of Matthew Temple (Driver); and approval to hire 17 firefighter recruits contingent upon passing remaining tests with a planned hire date of Sept. 3, 2024. The committee also approved hiring and promotions within Green Oaks including a social service counselor hire and several part-time-to-full-time promotions.
All personnel motions were recorded as passing without opposition.
